Qatari Diar projects unaffected
THE PENINSULA - DOHA: Qatari Diar, the local real estate giant, has said it is pressing ahead with plans to build a massive residential complex in the West Bank and plans are also afoot to launch a similar project in Gaza.
Ghanem bin Saad Al Ghanem, CEO of Qatari Diar, told reporters on Tuesday that the company’s projects were not affected by the global financial turbulence.
Al Rawabi residential housing venture in the West Bank, which will comprise some 5,000 residential units, is not affected. It is going on as planned. When asked if the situation in the Palestinian territories was forcing him to have a rethink, he said: “Not at all, the West Bank project is very much on.”
He also pointed out that there were plans to launch a similar venture in Gaza.
